Abstract

The article studies the foundations of the development of gastronomic tourism in the aspect of  the regional  economy.  The increase  in  culinary travel has been accompanied by an increase  in  attention  to  food  worldwide.  Today's  tourist  is  better  informed,  more  cultured,
travels more and looks for new experiences. Nutrition today serves as a key part of the culture. The factors influencing the development of gastronomic tourism and the effect of gastronomic tourism on the economic and social sector of the region are determined. The pur-
pose of the work is to develop a strategic plan for the development of gastronomic tourism. The subject of this research is gastronomic tourism as a factor in the attractiveness of a tourist region. Methodological verification of the work of branding and positioning of gastronomic
tourism  at  the  regional  level,  the  methods  of  system  analysis,  formalization,  classification, comparison, induction and deduction, methods of actualization, abstraction and concretization are used in the work. The article presents the author with a strategic plan for the devel-
opment of gastronomic tourism.
